The ProxiPen is compact, light and easy to use, since it automatically recognizes RFID tags and other transponders and without operating elements on the reading pen. ProxiPen's electronic interior is encapsulated in an impact-resistant plastic housing. The low power consumption of the electronics enables long-term field work without the need for read-outs. 
 
The ProxiPen data acquisition device has a built-in sensor that recognizes RFID tags. If you bring the ProxiPen with the reading head close to a transponder, the unique code that is saved in the tag is read automatically and without contact. Control points, events, objects (inventory), people or activities can be assigned to an RFID tag. An optical and an acoustic signal confirm the correct data storage. The TopGuard Patrol software is easy to use and only requires a basic knowledge of Windows® to set up the ProxiPen, create master files and evaluate recorded data.
